Botox vs. Restylane

Botox and Restylane are often mentioned together, but they solve different problems. Botox relaxes muscle activity. Restylane is a hyaluronic acid filler that restores lost volume and structure.

Dynamic lines — the ones that appear when you smile, squint or frown — respond to Botox. Static lines and hollowing that stay put when your face is at rest usually need filler.

Many treatment plans combine both. Relaxing the muscle protects the filler result, and the filler restores the support the face has lost over time.
